Senior Director of Masterbrand

Moon Juice is seeking a visionary and highly disciplined Senior Director of Masterbrand to lead brand strategy, creative direction, and all consumer-facing storytelling. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will own the brand’s visual identity, narrative architecture, and creative expression across all channels. This role will be responsible for leading all non‑product specific brand marketing initiatives, such as leading major brand campaigns, driving a new process to tap into cultural marketing moments, managing brand partnerships and serving as the hub across many cross‑channel touchpoints to ensure brand touch and tone is consistent and clear.
The ideal candidate blends conceptual excellence with operational rigor; equally comfortable developing big brand ideas and architecting the systems, workflows, and creative standards required to scale them. They bring deep experience in wellness and understand how to build premium, emotionally resonant brands that drive commercial outcomes. This leader thrives in a fast‑paced, lean environment, collaborates exceptionally well cross‑functionally, and brings clarity, calm, and creative excellence to every touchpoint.
As a member of the senior leadership team, the Senior Director of Masterbrand must be a positive cultural leader who exhibits confidence balanced with humility and a growth mindset. Key Responsibilities Brand Strategy & Narrative Development
Own brand strategy, including brand architecture, identity, values, voice, and tone.
Create and maintain the brand narrative for all owned, earned and paid channels.
Translate consumer insights and competitive intelligence into brand‑forward creative direction.
Act as guardian of brand consistency across all touchpoints, channels, and teams.
Lead creative concepting and development for campaigns across DTC, Amazon, Retail, Social, Email, PR, and Partnerships.
Partner with Product Marketing & Innovation to bring product positioning to life visually and verbally.
Oversee creative strategy for launches, tentpoles, promotions, and evergreen brand storytelling.
Drive excellence in design, copy, photography, and video content creation.
Marketing Calendar
Create and own the cross‑channel marketing calendar, aligning product, content, and other key initiatives in one comprehensive calendar. You are responsible for ensuring stakeholder alignment and flawless execution of big and small moments.
Develop comprehensive content marketing strategies that tap into consumer, cultural, and business insights and activate across channels (paid, owned, earned) and drive measurable results.
Stay up‑to‑date on cultural trends and moments, and identify opportunities & a process to translate them into compelling content that drives engagement and brand awareness.
Own organic social strategy and execution, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand voice.
Lead influencer strategy, ensuring partnerships that reflect brand values and drive meaningful awareness.
Oversee PR strategy and messaging in partnership with external agencies and internal teams.
Manage and activate strategic brand partnerships that support Moon Juice’s goals across products and campaigns. Responsible for relationship management, structuring, negotiation and measurement of partnership.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product Marketing & Innovation on positioning, messaging, GTM, and creative requirements.
Collaborate with DTC, Amazon, Retail teams to align creative assets with performance goals.
Core Brand team representative across all email, text, social, and non‑product specific projects.
Partner with PMO to build scalable creative workflows and approval processes across Marketing, Digital Media, Creative and Sales.
Partner with Leadership and Finance to plan resources, prioritize projects, and ensure operational clarity.
Lead, coach, and mentor a multidisciplinary creative team across design, copy, social, and content.
Build a high‑performing culture defined by transparency, low ego, excellence, and clear communication.
Establish systems, tools, and processes that unlock creativity while enabling operational discipline.
Core Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of experience in brand, creative, or marketing roles within wellness/beauty CPG.
Proven ability to lead brand strategy, creative concepting, and integrated campaign development.
Strong understanding of social media, influencer marketing, PR, and digital creative best practices.
Experience leading creative teams and building scalable, high‑quality creative operations.
