Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, creative, and results‑driven leader responsible for elevating the organization’s brand, expanding visibility, and driving mission‑aligned revenue opportunities. The VP Marketing leads all marketing and communications activities with a special focus on video production, digital media amplification, storytelling, and high‑impact campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi‑channel marketing strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Strengthen brand identity, messaging architecture, and audience engagement across all platforms.
Lead annual marketing planning, budgeting, goal setting, and performance measurement.
Oversee digital ecosystem management (website, social media, email, CRM integration).
Oversee end‑to‑end video production, including concept development, scripting, filming, editing, and distribution.
Produce mission‑driven visuals and documentaries that support fundraising, public awareness, and program storytelling.
Build, track and oversee amplification strategies—paid, earned, and organic—across digital, broadcast, and social channels.
Cultivate relationships with journalists, broadcast outlets, influencers, and media partners.
Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that expand visibility, resources, and revenue.
Collaborate with Development, Sales, Empowerment and Program teams to maximize donor engagement and brand‑aligned philanthropic initiatives.
Serve as an organizational spokesperson for media engagements, conferences, and high‑profile events.
Deliver inspiring presentations, keynotes, and digital content that advance the organization’s mission.
Support the CEO and leadership team with message preparation and public communication.
Lead the creative direction for campaigns, events, publications, and digital assets.
Establish project management workflows that ensure timely, high‑quality delivery across teams and vendors.
Manage external creative agencies, freelance talent, video crews, and production partners.
Oversee departmental budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Ensure cost‑effective allocation of resources and maximize ROI on marketing and partnership initiatives.
Report regularly to executive leadership and the board on key performance indicators and impact metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media Production, or related field.
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, communications, or business development, preferably in the nonprofit or mission‑driven sector.
Demonstrated expertise in video production and digital media amplification.
Strong track record of developing successful marketing and revenue growth strategies.
Excellent public speaking and on‑camera communication skills.
Proven creative leadership and project management capabilities.
Experience in budgeting, financial oversight, and team management.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
Experience working with philanthropic donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
Familiarity with brand storytelling in the social impact, arts, or advocacy sectors.
Proficiency in marketing analytics, CRM platforms, and content management systems.
