Credence has an immediate need for Senior Google Cloud Solutions Architect. In this role you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to modernize infrastructure, drive cloud adoption, and deliver innovative solutions that meet complex business and technical requirements. This position requires deep expertise in GCP architecture, a strong understanding of cloud security and compliance, and the ability to translate business goals into effective technical strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Strategy & Design: develop comprehensive cloud strategies aligned with business objectives. Architect tailored GCP solutions for application and data migration, modernization, and integration.
Solution Implementation: lead the design and deployment of cloud‑native, hybrid, and multi‑cloud solutions. Oversee technical development from inception to operational status, ensuring scalability, security, and cost‑effectiveness.
Technical Leadership: provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring best practices in cloud architecture and deployment. Conduct workshops and technical presentations to demonstrate solution feasibility and value.
Stakeholder Collaboration: work closely with business, IT, and security teams to integrate GCP services into existing systems, enhancing performance and reliability.
Governance & Compliance: implement data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
Continuous Improvement: stay updated on emerging GCP technologies and trends. Conduct regular assessments of cloud infrastructure to identify and implement improvements.
Requirements
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and capable of obtaining a DoD Secret clearance. Candidates with an active clearance are strongly preferred.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
8+ years of experience in cloud architecture or engineering roles, with at least 3 years focused on Google Cloud Platform.
Proven track record of successful client engagements in cloud migration, modernization, and solution integration.
Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Cloud Foundation Toolkit, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent certifications.
Experience designing data architectures (data lakes, warehouses, pipelines) and implementing data governance.
Ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects in fast‑paced environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools.
