Senior Cost Controls: Life Sciences – San Francisco, CA (Req 32727) Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Controls professional to manage award‑winning projects in our Life Sciences division. The role is based in San Francisco, requires office presence one day per week, and is not remote.

Responsibilities

Perform client management, interface with senior management, and provide updates and presentations on project cost and risks.

Partner with Project Managers to ensure project cost awareness and develop mitigation strategies.

Manage program and project cost controls and reporting functions across disciplines such as Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Office Planning, IT, Accounting, Economics & Finance, Tax, Contracts and Legal.

Provide status reports and analysis to company and client management, identify problems, and coordinate corrective actions.

Prepare cost control plans, financial summaries, and project management reports; manage cost processes and procedures.

Evaluate projects at each development stage to ensure cost compliance, review contract drafts, and ensure terms meet cost control requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field, or equivalent experience.

10+ years of cost controls experience in an EPCM environment.

Experience in cost estimating, control, change management, and cost analysis.

Knowledge of project controls, commercial operations, and financial issues.

Strong Excel (macro), database (MS Access), Power BI, and dashboard skills desirable.

Preferred

Project or Program related experience.

MS in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Sciences (not required).

Compensation Base salary range: $160,700 – $250,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by experience, skills, and location.
