Our client is a newly launched private credit investment fund affiliated with an established multibillion dollar alternative investment manager. The platform offers differentiated access to private credit, ABL, and asset-based special situations and is expanding its investment team in both New York and Chicago.
Role Summary
The Vice President will play a key role in the execution of unique cross‑capital structured, asset‑based investment opportunities (ABL, term loans, FILO, IP‑backed, asset acquisitions etc.). The role requires leading the underwriting and execution of complex asset‑based and structured credit investments, including due diligence, financial modeling, term sheet negotiation, documentation, and ongoing portfolio management.
Responsibilities
Lead underwriting and execution of complex asset‑based and structured credit investments.
Conduct due diligence and financial modeling for investment opportunities.
Negotiate term sheets and manage documentation.
Perform ongoing portfolio management and monitoring.
Build trust with clients, borrowers, intermediaries, corporate sponsors, and internal teams.
Collaborate with internal teams across the platform.
Qualifications
4‑7 years of experience in underwriting and executing special situations/distressed private credit/asset‑based lending.
Experience at a major commercial bank or credit manager with workout and restructuring expertise, or transaction experience at a middle‑market investment bank or financial advisory.
Strong communication skills and ability to build trust.
Familiarity with legal documentation and intercreditor dynamics in ABL and structured lending deals.
Thrives in a fast‑paced, start‑up environment within a larger institutional platform.
Compensation
Base pay range: $250,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr. Salary may be adjusted based on skills and experience. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
