Director of Finance

will play a critical leadership role in driving Bamboo Equity Partners’ investment strategy, portfolio performance, and financial operations, with a significant focus on tax planning and compliance. This individual will lead the development of sophisticated financial models, evaluate investment opportunities, manage portfolio analytics, and oversee fund‑ and asset‑level tax strategy. The Director of Finance will also support capital markets initiatives, investor reporting, and lead a high‑performing team of financial analysts.

Key Responsibilities Investment Analysis & Financial Modeling

Develop and oversee complex financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions, capitalizations, and development opportunities.

Identify, assess, and recommend investment opportunities aligned with Bamboo’s strategic objectives.

Prepare detailed projections, scenario analyses, and performance forecasts to support investment decisions.

Tax Strategy, Planning & Compliance

Lead tax planning and compliance activities for fund‑ and asset‑level entities, including partnerships, corporations, and real estate assets.

Structure investments and transactions to optimize tax efficiency while maintaining compliance.

Oversee preparation and review of tax filings, K‑1s, and other regulatory submissions.

Advise senior leaders on tax implications of cost segregations, acquisitions, dispositions, financing strategies, and entity restructuring.

Partner with external tax advisors, accounting firms, and legal counsel.

Portfolio Management & Capital Strategy

Monitor performance of existing portfolio; provide strategic insights and updates to senior leadership and ownership.

Support capital markets activities including underwriting, financing, debt restructuring, and equity raises.

Coordinate and facilitate fund‑ and asset‑level transactions, including capital calls, distributions, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and fee payments.

Develop and execute exit strategies for asset dispositions.

Manage relationships with key operating partners: Intelica Property Accounting and Property Management, Oakline Construction Group, and Oakline Studios.

Financial Reporting & Governance

Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and statements for all assets within the portfolio.

Lead financial review processes in collaboration with Intelica Property Accounting to ensure conformity with GAAP.

Strengthen financial governance, internal controls, and risk management practices across the organization.

Investor Reporting

Lead preparation of investor reports, capital account summaries, and tax‑related investor communications.

Support fundraising efforts, investor presentations, due diligence requests, and LP onboarding.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts to ensure high performance, analytical rigor, and professional growth.

Foster a culture known for excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field required. CPA strongly preferred. CFA or MBA preferred.

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in real estate finance, private equity, investment banking, or a related field.

Significant experience in tax advisory or tax strategy within real estate or private equity environments required.

3+ years of management experience, including coaching and performance management.

Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytics capability.

Strong understanding of partnership structures, real estate tax regulations, and investment tax implications.

Intermediate‑to‑advanced MS Excel proficiency; strong skills in MS Office and Argus.

Proven track record of financial modeling, valuation, reporting and analysis.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
