About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Chief Financial Officer
to lead our financial operations and drive growth in the construction industry. The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the company, including planning, risk management, and compliance, while partnering with executive leadership to ensure long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
Oversee all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.
Manage cash flow, capital planning, and financing activities to support ongoing projects.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific requirements.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team for strategic decision‑making.
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Evaluate and manage risk, including insurance, bonding, and contractual obligations.
Collaborate with project managers to monitor job costing, profitability, and resource allocation.
Drive technology adoption for financial systems and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
Construction industry experience required, including familiarity with job cost accounting and project‑based financial management.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and financial regulations.
Proven ability to lead teams and influence organizational strategy.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in financial software (experience with
Viewpoint ,
Sage , or similar systems is a plus).
