Position Overview This full‑time role is based in Lehi, UT, with a flexible hybrid schedule. The Head of FP&A is a strategic financial leader responsible for overseeing all financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities across the organization, providing critical insights to drive business performance and achieve strategic objectives. This role partners closely with executive leadership to guide decision‑making, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the financial health and growth of Pattern.
Day in the Life
Lead and manage the financial planning and analysis function, including annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and long‑range strategic planning processes.
Partner with executive leadership and department heads to provide insightful financial analysis, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to support key business decisions.
Utilize AI to drive the development and implementation of financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to enhance analytical capabilities and operational efficiency.
Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and variance analyses for senior management, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
Identify key financial trends, risks, and opportunities, proactively communicating insights and recommending actionable strategies to optimize profitability and growth.
Lead and mentor a high‑performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, analytical rigor, and strong business partnership.
Support the build out of Investor Relations function. Co‑lead preparation of materials including Annual Report, Quarterly Earnings, prepared remarks / Q&A.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 12‑15 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5‑7 years in a leadership role overseeing an FP&A function.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management in a complex business environment.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Proven track record of building, leading, and developing high‑performing finance teams, and driving significant process improvements.
