Senior Manager, Product Engineering Princess Cruises, a leading premium cruise line, is looking for an experienced engineering leader to join our Fort Lauderdale office. In this role you will lead multiple full‑stack development teams, driving the design, development, testing, and deployment of our customer‑facing digital platform.

As a Senior Manager, you will provide technical direction for vacation search, cruise reservations, pre‑cruise purchases, and content management systems. Your focus will be on delivering a world‑class online experience for guests while ensuring performance, security, and continuous delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

Oversee multiple software engineering teams in the design, development, testing, and deployment of high‑quality software solutions.

Apply engineering principles to investigate and modify component or process specifications.

Own the eCommerce web product stack, including vacation search, cruise reservations, amendment flow, pre‑cruise purchases, and CMS modules.

Collaborate with stakeholders—including PMO, IT, Enterprise Architecture, Marketing, Security, and Data teams—to align technology strategy and product success.

Partner with Operations to ensure availability, performance, and compliance of customer‑facing websites.

Champion data‑driven decision making and promote automation, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

Encourage experimentation and rapid prototyping to validate ideas quickly.

Recruit, onboard, and mentor scrum team members; conduct performance reviews and career development.

Build and retain high‑performing, inclusive engineering teams.

Develop and monitor team target metrics, performance improvement strategies, and risk mitigation plans.

Maintain best practices for the software development lifecycle, including unit test automation.

Manage vendor relationships for web engineering talent and Managed Services.

Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory standards.

Support business continuity and disaster recovery plans for critical systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or equivalent.

12+ years delivering technology products, 10+ years on large‑scale consumer‑facing systems.

8+ years managing a staff of over 20 in a project‑oriented matrix organization.

Strong experience leading engineering/technology professionals and driving product strategy.

Proven ability to build productive, collaborative teams and cultivate a positive, can‑do culture.

Deep knowledge of system development life cycle, customer experience domains, and application architecture.

Experience with modern web technologies (React, Angular, API gateways) and serverless architecture.

Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager, Akamai/CDN, DNS, SSL, and MarTech solutions (Adobe Target, Analytics, Personalization).

Understanding of WCAG, PCI, PII, and encryption requirements.

3+ years in product testing and iterative delivery.

Experience with event‑driven and microservices architecture.

Knowledge of REACT and related frameworks.

Strong understanding of web UI technologies and frameworks.
