Description The Asset Finance Senior Sales Associate is responsible for supporting assigned Citizens Asset Finance Relationship Manager(s) in originating, pricing, and structuring complex equipment finance transactions for high‑value prospects and existing clients of Citizens Asset Finance (CAF). This role requires advanced expertise in equipment finance solutions, strong market insight, and the ability to lead strategic initiatives that drive growth and profitability. The targeted market includes public and privately held companies with annual revenues exceeding $50 million. In addition, the Senior Sales Associate must demonstrate leadership in balancing CAF’s strategic goals, target markets, and underwriting parameters to achieve sales and profitability objectives while mentoring junior team members and contributing to process improvement.

Job Responsibilities

Origination & Structuring – Independently originate tax lease, finance lease, and loan transactions, achieving funded volume, syndication revenue, and profitability objectives and leading complex deal structuring and pricing strategies.

Market Development – Develop and execute advanced market penetration strategies to generate new business opportunities and maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, competitive positioning, and asset‑specific market appetite.

Client Engagement – Conduct high‑level direct calling efforts, including executive‑level meetings with customers and prospects, serving as a trusted advisor to clients, providing consultative solutions and negotiating terms for complex transactions.

Leadership & Collaboration – Mentor and guide CAF Sales Associates and junior team members on best practices in origination, pricing, and relationship management, and partner effectively with CAF Relationship Managers and CFG Banking partners to deliver integrated solutions.

Analytics & Reporting – Monitor pipeline activity, credit submissions, and funding projections; provide strategic insights to senior management.

Cross‑Functional Coordination – Build strong relationships with credit, asset management, documentation, portfolio management, legal, and operations teams.

Risk & Compliance – Ensure all transactions comply with CAF’s risk management framework and regulatory requirements.

Experience

Minimum 5–7 years in equipment finance or related field, with a proven track record of independently closing complex transactions.

Advanced proficiency in Super Trump and other Risk Adjusted Return on Capital pricing models.

Strong understanding of tax, legal, and documentation aspects of equipment finance.

Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and lead strategic initiatives.

Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to influence senior executives internally and externally.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce.com experience preferred.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Hours and Work Schedule Hours per Week: 40+ Work Schedule: Monday – Friday

Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $130,000 – $165,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
