We're seeking a locum Probate Solicitor to join our South Yorkshire client for 3-4 days/week on a 1-2 month basis. You'll handle probate matters under a hybrid working model, ideal for an experienced solicitor available immediately.

Description
Managing probate files and administering estates (grants, full administration, estates with or without wills)
Advising executors or administrators on the probate process, estate administration, Inheritance Tax, and related matters
Reviewing wills, trusts, and inheritance documentation to ensure compliance and correct execution
Communicating with beneficiaries, executors, HMRC (for tax issues) and other stakeholders
Drafting legal documents including Grant applications, estate accounts, deeds of variation, letters of administration
Liaising with other departments (e. conveyancing, trusts) if necessary to support complex estates
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and firm standards
Profile
A qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with relevant probate experience
Experienced handling probate, estate administration, grants of probate/letters of administration, Inheritance Tax matters etc.
Available immediately for a 1-2 month locum assignment
Comfortable working part‑time (3-4 days/week) and able to work in a hybrid model
Organised, efficient and client‑focused, with strong communication skills
Job Offer
Competitive hourly rate of £50-55 per hour, outside IR35
Flexible part‑time working (3-4 days per week)
