Compensation: $165 - $180K

We are a growing organization dedicated to advancing high-performance materials and solutions for next-generation clean energy technologies. We partner closely with industry leaders to deliver innovative products that support high reliability, efficiency, and sustainability in demanding applications.

Your Role: We are seeking a highly capable Director of Systems Engineering to lead the development, design, and operational execution of advanced fuel processing systems for both space and terrestrial applications. You will establish and maintain high engineering standards, ensure technical and design excellence, and guide cross-functional teams through compliant, mission-critical development cycles.

What You’ll Do:

Lead a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, chemical, systems, and electrical/controls engineers

Drive engineering processes aligned to AS9100D standards, including design reviews, change control, and configuration documentation

Oversee project planning, resource allocation, schedules, and budgets across program statements of work

Communicate results through clear reporting, presentations, KPIs, and stakeholder updates

Support design execution using tools such as SolidWorks, FEA, and CAE analysis

Evaluate technical approaches, provide engineering oversight, and support prototype fabrication and testing

Manage vendor interactions, procurement tasks, drawings, specifications, and supplier selection

Maintain a strong safety and compliance culture across engineering and development activities

Contribute as a member of the organization’s Management and Leadership Teams

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant engineering field – Master’s degree preferred

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a PLUS

10+ years of technical and engineering management experience

Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

Proven ability to drive projects to schedule, budget, and engineering standards

Proficiency in SolidWorks and related CAD/CAE tools

Self‑directed, collaborative, and comfortable guiding high‑complexity development

Working knowledge of AS9100D or experience in other highly regulated industry(s)
