The Opportunity
As Director of Global Licensing, in an individual contributor role, you will be Sunkist’s licensing champion—bringing bold ideas, disciplined management, and vibrant brand storytelling to life across categories and regions.

The Role:
The Director of Licensing is a steward of Sunkist’s global licensing program—protecting and elevating our brand while driving growth across new products, categories, and markets.
Joining a highly collaborative and energetic team, you will be a category expert and trusted brand advisor and ensure every licensee succeeds under the Sunkist brand.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Licensee Relationship Development and Support
Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned licensees across the Americas, Asia, and Europe, Middle East, and Africa, serving as their primary business contact and trusted brand counsel.
Build long-term, mutually beneficial business collaborations by engaging stakeholders at all levels from brand associates to executives.
Create engaging, collaborative interactions with licensees that make the work productive and genuinely fun for everyone involved.
Learn and understand each licensee’s business, competitive landscape, product range, retail distribution, and consumer and retailer trends.
Provide tailored guidance, insights, and brand stewardship to optimize product development, marketing execution, distribution, and category performance.
New Business Development
Drive new licensing revenue by identifying opportunities for product innovation, category expansion, and new territory development.
Meet or exceed sales and royalty goals across individual licensees and the overall portfolio.
Pursue new business opportunities outside the existing licensee base—qualifying inbound inquiries, cultivating new prospects and building a pipeline of potential licensees.
Network, discover, and pursue possibilities across industries and regions to uncover emerging opportunities, untapped markets, and new categories aligned with Sunkist’s brand equities.
Lead regular business reviews assessing sales performance, market positioning, promotional effectiveness, and new product opportunities.
Negotiate new trademark licensing agreements—including renewals, extensions, amendments, terminations, NDAs, and related updates.
Maximize financial performance by driving annual sales and royalty growth across the global licensee base.
Manage the full Licensing P&L, including budgets, projections, forecasting models, and long-range financial plans.
Lead and enforce all contractual requirements, including product approvals, packaging and marketing review processes, food safety standards, and adherence to Sunkist brand guidelines.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Food Safety, Finance, Legal, Patent & Trademark, Marketing, and international Sunkist offices in Tokyo, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
Team Engagement
Contribute actively to a small, cohesive team that values collaboration, unified support for all licensee accounts, and a spirit of California-style fun.
Communicate across the team to share information, align standards, and maintain a relationship-driven experience for all licensees worldwide.

Solid business acumen, including understanding of deal structures, financial drivers, and strategic levers in licensing.
Financial and analytical skills, including royalty models, forecasting, P&L impact, and sales analysis.
Negotiation capabilities with an understanding of contractual agreements.
Meticulous attention to detail, especially in product, packaging, and marketing materials.
Ability to influence and guide internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
International experience strongly preferred.
10+ years of experience in consumer products, brand management, sales/ marketing, or related fields.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations, or related fields preferred.
Requirements:
Ability to solo travel domestically and internationally approximately 35% annually.
Ability to work/travel occasional evenings and weekends to support global time zones.

Here’s what we offer:
Annual base compensation range between $180,000 — $230,000. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from this range.
