mid-sized Electrical Services company

(120 employees) seeking a

Senior HR Consultant

to support the organization on a part-time, long-term basis. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building HR infrastructure and driving both strategy and hands‑on HR operations.

Location:

Morgan Hill, CA (Hybrid: 2 days onsite + remote)

Hours:

20–30 hours/week

Duration:

12+ months

Compensation:

$60–$75/hr

Key Responsibilities

Lead and enhance the

new employee onboarding experience

Ensure

HR compliance

across the organization

Lead

HR communications

and support company‑wide updates

Manage recruitment activities: candidate follow‑up, background checks, culture‑fit screening, and coordination with hiring managers

Lead the selection and implementation of a new HRIS and ATS

(major initiative)

Review employment letters and maintain onboarding/termination documentation in Rippling

Process and route incoming HR mail (EDD, IRS, etc.)

Partner with

Accounting

on payroll‑related questions

Work closely with the

Director of Operations

on performance reviews and people programs

Ideal Background

Experience in

construction, HVAC, electrical, or similar field‑based industries

Hands‑on experience selecting and implementing

HRIS/ATS systems

Requirements

10+ years of broad HR experience

Ability to set strategic direction while executing day‑to‑day HR operations

Strong skills in planning, risk management, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management

Ability to work

onsite in Morgan Hill 2 days per week

Availability to commit

20–30 hours weekly

for at least 12 months
