About the Role As the
Director of Civil Engineering for Land Development , you will shape regional strategies, drive business growth, and lead a talented team of engineers and technical staff.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of civil engineers and support professionals. Cultivate a collaborative, innovative environment that promotes professional growth. Oversee planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance. Develop and implement regional strategies to enhance market share and profitability.
Business Development Create and execute strategic plans to expand market presence and secure new projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners. Identify and pursue new opportunities, including proposal development and contract negotiations. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to strengthen visibility and reputation.
Project Oversight Ensure successful delivery of projects from concept through completion. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for seamless execution and client satisfaction.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 15+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development (commercial and/or residential). Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to execute long-term plans.
