Base Pay Range:
$100,000.00/yr – $125,000.00/yr
Our client is a rapidly growing private credit investment firm with over $1B in assets under management. The firm specializes in providing structured, asset‑backed financing to early‑stage, venture‑backed fintech companies. Their investment strategy centers on creating SPV facilities backed by collateralized receivables—such as credit cards, charge cards, loans, and revenue‑based financing.
With a typical deal size ranging from $25M to $200M (sweet spot around $40M), the firm plays a pivotal role as the first institutional lender, helping fintechs scale before transitioning to traditional bank financing. The San Francisco office is a key part of their U.S. investment strategy, which operates alongside a separate emerging markets strategy.
Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst or Associate to join the asset‑backed credit investing team in San Francisco. This client‑facing role blends financial analysis, structured finance expertise, and strategic engagement with fintech borrowers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform due diligence and credit analysis on fintech lenders and their loan portfolios.
Evaluate loan performance data using structured finance methodologies.
Collaborate with internal teams to structure and execute transactions.
Build financial models and investment presentations.
Engage directly with clients to understand funding needs and tailor financing solutions.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in asset‑backed credit, structured finance, or related fields.
Backgrounds in ABS banking, credit risk, ratings agencies (e.g., KBRA, Kroll), fintech capital markets, project finance, or litigation finance are highly relevant.
Strong quantitative skills and experience with loan‑level data analysis.
Coding proficiency (Python, SQL, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with legal documentation and deal structuring is a plus.
Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients and internal stakeholders.
