The Role Fusion’s FP&A team is a business‑critical, highly visible function that supports all revenue aspects of the Company’s financial strategy and operations. This growing team provides valuable business partnering and financial insights to the Fusion Leadership Team and supports key company and Board‑level strategic initiatives.
The Senior Analyst, FP&A will be highly visible within the organization and will partner with all revenue‑focused departments and reporting functions. We are looking for someone who is detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and a demonstrated creative problem solver with a proven ability to manage multiple streams of work in a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide business partnering support for the Sales, Marketing, Renewals & Customer Success organizations, including analysis, reporting, metrics measurement & strategic initiatives
Provide business partnering support for accounting, including accruals and other month‑end close activities
Support the Sales & Marketing monthly metrics meetings, including data gathering and identifying key trends & actionable insights
Support the Revenue Operations team with reporting, revenue leaderboards, wins‑rate analysis & dashboards for leadership consumption
Support the Marketing organization with deeper dive analysis, forecasting, reporting & actionable insights
Support the Renewals organization with forecasting & presenting to leadership
Aid in the preparation of monthly management presentations & quarterly BOD meetings, identifying and summarizing key trends and variance analysis for leadership consumption
Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans and operating forecasts
Perform ad‑hoc financial and operational analysis at multiple levels of complexity, including ROI, cost analysis, invoicing & cash collections analysis, and sales pipeline analysis
Aid in the annual planning activities for the Company; collaborate with senior members of the Leadership team to set, drive and manage the Planning process
Qualifications
BS or BBA Degree in Finance or a related field (MBA a plus)
2+ years of experience in financial planning/analysis, budgeting & forecasting, finance, etc., preferably in software/SAAS
Experience supporting the Sales & Marketing organizations preferred
In-depth understanding of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep‑dive analysis
Strong strategic skills, with the proven ability to identify and assess key points, implications, & recommendations
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and drive projects to completion
Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience/expertise with financial systems, including financial planning tools (e.g., Vena, etc.) preferred
Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred
It is strongly preferred that this person live in the Chicagoland area
Milestones for the First Six Months Goal – Prepare you to become a successful SFA.
In 1‑Month you’ll: Organization – follow steps & be self‑sufficient Comfortable with Fusion business model
In 3‑Month you’ll: Owner of monthly renewals process Owner of Monthly Reporting deck Owner of Bookings Report process
In 6‑Month you’ll: Run Marketing forecast with limited instruction Run Churn/Contraction forecast with instruction Senior level knowledge of Fusion Business
Compensation & Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000‑$100,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus. Fusion offers a comprehensive suite of employee benefits including medical, dental, vision and a 401(k) plan.
