Position Summary
We’re seeking experienced
Power Systems Engineers
to join our team. This position involves supporting a wide range of transmission system studies, including power flow, voltage stability, transient stability, and related analyses. Candidates should have a strong academic background in electrical engineering and hands‑on experience with industry‑standard tools such as
PSS®E
or
TARA . Advanced degrees in power systems are highly valued. Relocation assistance may be available.

Key Responsibilities
Perform transmission system studies for networks operating at 138 kV and above, including power flow, short‑circuit, and dynamic stability analyses.
Develop and maintain steady‑state, short‑circuit, and dynamic models.
Assist senior engineers in preparing technical documentation and reports.
Provide technical guidance and support for generator interconnection requests throughout the planning process.
Conduct and review system impact studies, including load flow, transient stability, reactive planning, and mitigation strategies.
Utilize tools such as
PSS®E
and
TARA
for generator interconnection studies, including voltage ride‑through and critical clearing time assessments for renewable projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees preferred).
Minimum of 6 years of experience in power system analysis using tools like
PSS®E ,
TSAT , or
PSLF .
Expertise in:
Stability studies with
PSS®E
EMT simulations using
PSCAD
or
EMTP
Congestion analysis and cost modeling across major ISOs (e.g., MISO, CAISO, PJM, SPP)
Strong knowledge of power system components, including synchronous machines, power electronics, wind, and solar technologies.
Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools (PSS®E, TARA, PSLF, DigSILENT, DSA Tools).
Familiarity with static and dynamic modeling of advanced components (HVDC, STATCOM, SVC, etc.).
Programming skills in IPLAN and/or Python are a plus.
Understanding of ISO interconnection processes and transmission reliability standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
