Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician (Swing)
Job Purpose
We are currently hiring equipment maintenance technicians for our high technology printed circuit board (PCB) facility in San Jose, CA. This facility supports leading edge OEMs in the defense, aerospace, data center and semiconductor markets. In San Jose, we are proud of the motto “What we make, makes a difference”.
Nature of Duties
Performs preventative maintenance according to assigned equipment responsibilities; coordinates activity and partners with area manufacturing and engineering teams.
Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Works safely on control cabinets and electrical panels.
Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and manuals.
Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment evaluations.
Rebuilds & repairs manufacturing equipment as required.
May perform equipment modifications as directed by Manager.
Removal and installation of old & new equipment, fabrication, plumbing, welding, electrical and roof repairs—ability to follow established safety guidelines while working close to or with chemicals.
Other related tasks as assigned.
Must be available to work overtime and weekends when needed.
Education and Experience
Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in a printed circuit board, electroplating, semiconductor or other process-related industry is a plus.
Associate’s / Two-year technical degree preferred.
Ability to lift heavy loads.
Availability for overtime, emergency calls and some weekends.
Mechanically inclined, able to work with a large variety of hand tools and power tools; operate a forklift; work with electric high & low voltage.
Plumbing (sweat copper) trade pipe, work with PVC & polypro.
Salary Range (annual) $72,800.00 - $77,896.00
