An established Connecticut based wealth management firm is hiring a Wealth Advisor to lead and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth and emerging-ultra-high-net-worth households. This role centers on planning, investment oversight, and relationship management—not product distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as primary advisor for assigned client relationships; deliver comprehensive financial planning, asset allocation guidance, and ongoing portfolio reviews.
Build new relationships through referrals, COIs, and targeted prospect development in the Fairfield County market.
Translate client goals into actionable planning strategies (retirement, tax, estate, liquidity events, business-owner transitions).
Coordinate with investment, planning, and operations teams to execute recommendations and maintain client service standards.
Document planning assumptions, risk profiles, and investment policy updates in line with firm procedures.
Monitor client portfolios; identify rebalancing needs, tax-loss harvesting opportunities, and other portfolio-level adjustments.
Required Experience & Skills
5–10+ years as a financial advisor or wealth planner working with HNW clients.
Strong planning background; ability to lead client meetings without reliance on product scripts.
Solid understanding of investment principles, capital‑markets basics, and portfolio construction in a discretionary or advisory setting.
Track record of retaining clients and cultivating new ones through trust‑based relationships.
CFP strongly preferred; CFA, CPWA, or similar designations a plus.
Full‑time role based in Fairfield County with regular client‑site travel.
Competitive base salary, incentive structure tied to revenue and client satisfaction, and pathway to expanded responsibility.
The firm maintains a planning‑first, open‑architecture investment approach.
