Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading boutique investment bank focused on advising founder and/or family‑led businesses in the consumer sector on mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic growth. Transactions typically range from $50MM to $1Bn+. This team has experienced significant success and is looking to add (1) Associate or VP to its growing Salt Lake City office.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support execution of M&A transactions, capital raising, and other strategic initiatives within the consumer sector.
Conduct detailed industry research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Build and maintain advanced financial models, including valuation, merger consequences, and leveraged buyout analyses.
Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials.
Work closely with senior bankers and clients to develop strategic insights and recommendations.
Mentor Analysts and contribute to their professional development.
Qualifications
2-7 years of experience in investment banking or private equity, with a focus on the consumer industry preferred.
Strong academic background with a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; background in Accounting or CPA a plus.
Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, FactSet).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
