Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role involves leading core accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will play a key role in managing the general ledger, overseeing month-end close processes, and contributing to the financial planning efforts of the organization. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Oversee general ledger operations, ensuring timely and accurate posting of financial transactions.
- Manage month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes, meeting all reporting deadlines.
- Review and approve complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules to maintain consistency and compliance.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies and maintaining detailed documentation.
- Collaborate with various departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
- Ensure payroll operations are accurate, timely, and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Maintain adherence to gaming laws, company policies, and federal regulations, while upholding internal controls.
- Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders, aligning with the organization's customer service standards.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proven expertise in managing month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and audit compliance.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and develop team members.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems, with experience in Workday preferred.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- Hospitality or gaming industry experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
