Locum Gastroenterologist Opportunity!

Location: Minot, ND 58701

Position: Gastroenterologist Locum Tenens

A fantastic short-term assignment with full GI lab support & 24/7 call!

Assignment Details

• Start Dates: As soon as credentialed
• Schedule: Monday Friday
• Hours: 7 AM 3 PM (GI Lab) + 24/7 Call
• Setting: Primarily outpatient with GI lab time
• Call:
  • 24/7 while on assignment
  • Pager call (no on-site requirement)
  • Not shared during coverage dates
• Weekends & Holidays: Included during assignment timeframe

Clinical Expectations

• Case Mix: 90% Scopes / 10% Clinic
• Daily Volumes:
  • Clinic: 5 patients/day
  • Procedures: /day
  • Consults: 1 5/day
• Procedures: General GI (EGD, Colonoscopy, PEG, etc.)
• Emergent Cases: Yes GI bleeds & urgent procedures (Level II Trauma Center)
• Advanced GI: ERCP/EUS preferred but not required

️ Clinical Support & Workflow

• NP support in clinic
• General surgeons assist with GI lab overflow
• Hospitalist team available for rounding coordination
• EMR: Cerner
• Procedure Site: Endoscopy suite within OR
• Support Services: Pathology, Radiology, Surgery readily available
• GI Lab: Fully staffed with trained GI techs

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active ND License (preferred facility may consider IMLC eligible)
• Clean background
• Ability to cover all duties including call & emergencies

• Full travel & lodging reimbursed per facility policy
• (All costs beyond standard guidelines require facility approval)
