Wellstar Health System is seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Heart Failure Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at Cobb and Kennestone Hospitals . The ideal candidate will specialize in managing patients with advanced heart failure and cardiomyopathies, focusing on non-transplant therapies and innovative heart failure management strategies. This role involves collaborating closely with heart failure specialists, electrophysiologists, and other cardiology providers to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with advanced heart failure, including acute and chronic management.

  • Manage complex heart failure cases using state-of-the-art therapies such as inotropes, mechanical circulatory support (excluding transplant-related VADs intended for transplant), and device therapy.

  • Lead inpatient and outpatient heart failure clinics, including management of LVAD patients.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers, to develop comprehensive care plans.

  • Participate in heart failure program development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical research activities as applicable.

  • Provide patient education and support for heart failure self-management.

  • Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations and maintain high standards of documentation.
