Title: Pulmonary Critical Care Nurse Practitioner
Location: Athens, GA
Shifts: 3x12 hours (Weekend rotations may be required)
Summary :
We are seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team. This role is ideal for a practitioner with strong clinical skills, critical care experience, and a passion for improving patient outcomes. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a dynamic critical care environment to provide comprehensive care to adult patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct clinical services for critically ill adult patients under physician supervision and in accordance with institutional and evidence-based guidelines.
• Obtain health histories, perform physical exams, and document findings per hospital requirements.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic and laboratory tests.
• Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including:
o Blood sampling (arterial, venous, capillary), EKGs, cardiac output, and hemodynamic measurements
o Airway management including intubation, extubation, and ventilation support
o Placement and management of central lines, chest tubes, thoracentesis, arterial catheters, and dialysis catheters (as credentialed)
• Initiate and manage acute treatment plans, including emergency interventions when indicated.
• Participate in daily rounds, admissions, discharges, and multidisciplinary case discussions.
Requirements :
Masters of Doctorate of Nursing
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Georgia
Minimum 1 year of experience in critical care is required
Proficiency in airway management and use of RSI medications
Strong ability to interpret ABGs, CXRs, ultrasounds, and CT chest imaging
DEA and ACLS Certifications - REQUIRED
