This facility is a prominent medical center in northeastern Indiana with 396 beds, providing comprehensive healthcare services to the region. The hospital is a Level 2 trauma center, offering advanced neurosurgical care with state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative team environment.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Neurological Surgery
Job Details:
• Provide general neurosurgery services with 20-25 patient encounters per shift
• Focus on adult neurosurgery with trauma management
• Opportunity to work with pediatric and neonate cases (preferred)
• Potential involvement in cerebrovascular procedures, including open and endovascular techniques
• May perform carotid or vertebral artery surgery and aneurysm clipping as needed
• Handle various neurosurgical cases including tumors, neuroendocrine surgery, and stereotactic radiosurgery
• Perform functional neurosurgery, seizure management, and VP shunt procedures
• Conduct spinal surgery with and without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions)
• Manage peripheral nerve surgery and pain procedures
• Place ICP monitors and apply external traction when necessary
• Skills in ventilator management and central line placement beneficial
• Active Indiana medical license required (no IMLC accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30-60 days
• Assignment begins January 1, 2025 with ongoing opportunities
Compensation:
