The Assistant Athletic Director at Trinity Washington University, a NCAA Division III institution, is a full-time, year-round position within the Athletics department of the Student Affairs Division.

The Assistant Athletic Director supports the department initiatives for our five NCAA Division III women’s sports: soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, and lacrosse. The role involves assisting the Athletic Director in managing the athletics program. The position requires a set work schedule and attendance at all home games. The Assistant Athletic Director should demonstrate positive role modeling, be visible, and accessible to student-athletes at all times.

Education Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field.

Experience in NCAA athletics, preferably with sports information and websites.

Experience managing social media platforms.

Experience with Stat software is preferred.

Experience working with diverse, urban, first-generation college women students.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Special Licenses, Registration, or Certification

CPR

First Aid

Valid Driver’s License

Schedule

Minimum 40 hours per week

Year-round position

Responsibilities & Functions

Oversee sports information, providing and coordinating stats coverage for all home games.

Maintain website and social media accounts for athletics.

Assist with team travel and officiating arrangements.

Coordinate athletic schedules and manage game contracts.

Support the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Manage and distribute athletic equipment.

Assist with student-athlete study hall and monitor academic grades.

Support student-athlete recruiting and retention efforts.

Track academic progress of student-athletes.

Supervise student workers and oversee game-day setup.

Attend all home games.

Assist with coaching a team.

Create a positive, welcoming environment for student-athletes.

Perform other duties as assigned.
