Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures. Receives, centrifuges, accessions, processes, and transports specimens. Verifies all related records. May draw and collect blood samples according to policy. Orders add‑on tests and works pending lists, and resolves duplicate orders. Performs clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, ordering tests, reviewing Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), data entry, and filing.
