Overnight Residential Counselor – Justice Resource Institute Who We Are Looking For: Are you passionate about social justice and ready to make a difference in the lives of our students? As an Overnight Residential Counselor, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our students! Pelham Academy is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma informed care. Pelham provides 24‑hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff. Schedules being offered: 10:45 pm–8:45 am with one weekend shift. Compensation: $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, licensure, certifications, and qualifications. Overtime may be mandated due to the nature of our work and the youth who depend on us. Training & Responsibilities Help students create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting them and by role‑modeling effective coping strategies. Help students discover what makes them feel competent and valued by working with them to develop life skills such as cooking, banking, vocational skills, and more. Your day‑to‑day work will support students in developing a sense of self and provide them the skills to be successful in their next steps. Why JRI? Be who you are! Remain awake throughout the overnight shift to ensure safety and wellbeing of students. Maintain a valid driver’s license as transporting students is required. Available to work holidays and weekend shifts as required. At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de‑escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students.
