Job Title: Hardware and Firmware Designer – Professional Location: Buttrio (UD) Responsibilities Basic and Detail Design (drawings and/or technical specifications) of hardware schematics of electronic cards exploited by the sensors/gauges produced by the Instrumentation and Robotics Business Unit (BU) Basic and Detail Design (code and/or technical specifications) of firmware deployed into electronic cards used within the sensors/gauges produced by the BU Basic and Detail Design (code and/or technical specifications) of software deployed in both hardware and software PLCs Development and testing of laboratory prototypes to verify theoretical hypotheses regards techniques to be used in current/future gauges produced by the BU Research (by reading technical articles, books, datasheets, web pages, and publications) new technologies and/or techniques to be used in metrology applications Standardization, improvement, and innovation of existing/new solutions for the gauges produced by the BU Time schedule, cost, and quality of the assigned jobs Follow up and coordinate the external partners involved (designer and/or supplier) to achieve the targets of quality, time, and cost Link with project managers and project leaders to gather the information to design the optimal solution and share it with the BU team Link with team members to design the optimal mechanical/architectural solution Qualifications Electronics (preferred) or other technical engineering degrees Preferred minimum 3 years experience in HW&FW development Knowledge of electronic CAD software Experience with microcontrollers and/or FPGA development suites Experience with networks and Fieldbus protocols (Profibus, Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus, Modbus-TCP, RS232, …) Preferred programming language (in order of importance): C/C++/CodeSys/C#/VHDL Good knowledge of spoken and written English Soft Skills Ability to work in a multi-cultural group (internal and customer team) Ability to handle multiple tasks with different priorities Coherence and responsibility Passion for research and innovation Availability to travel Business Unit With more than 40 years of experience focused on metals worldwide, Danieli Automation is a technological partner for production management, process and equipment control, advanced instrumentation, and state-of-the-art electrical solutions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
