Senior Security Engineer/Architect (CyberArk and Python) Location:
New York City, NY (Onsite 4 days per week)
About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer/Architect (CyberArk) to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to protect critical systems, applications, and data. You will play a key role in driving privileged access strategies, ensuring compliance with security policies, and strengthening the overall security posture of the organization.
Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain CyberArk Privileged Access Management solutions. Manage CyberArk components including Vault, CPM, PVWA, PSM, and Conjur. Onboard applications, servers, databases, and network devices into CyberArk. Develop and implement custom connectors, plug-ins, and automation scripts. Perform regular health checks, upgrades, patching, and system hardening of CyberArk infrastructure. Define and enforce PAM policies, standards, and procedures aligned with compliance requirements. Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate CyberArk with enterprise systems. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve CyberArk-related issues to ensure high availability. Conduct audits, reporting, and analytics on privileged account usage. Mentor junior engineers and provide subject matter expertise across the organization.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) with a strong focus on CyberArk PAM solutions. Hands-on expertise with CyberArk Vault Strong understanding of privileged access controls, authentication methods, and credential management. Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, MFA solutions, and enterprise infrastructure environments.
