Associate Attorney
with 3+ years' experience of business law is needed for a hybrid position in Austin, TX. The
Associate Attorney
will be responsible for representing clients in commercial litigation matters. The
Associate Attorney
will handle cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, motions, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations. This position requires strong analytical, research, and writing skills, as well as courtroom experience in complex business disputes.
Associate Attorney Responsibilities Manage a broad caseload of commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, business torts, and other corporate disputes. Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses. Represent clients in court, including motion hearings, pre-trial conferences, and trials. Engage in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations. Communicate with clients and provide strategic advice on litigation risks, opportunities, and case strategies. Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and prepare for trial. Participate in depositions, expert witness preparation, and witness examinations. Maintain and update client files, ensuring all case documents are properly organized and accessible. Stay up-to-date on pertinent laws, case law, and court decisions to provide clients with the most accurate and current legal advice.
Associate Attorney Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the State Bar of Texas. 3+ years of civil litigation (commercial) experience. Proven track record in handling business disputes, contract disputes, and other commercial matters. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong courtroom presence and trial advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
