Executive Legal Assistant

A leading AM Law 100 firm with 1000+ attorneys specializing in corporate/M&A, private equity, bankruptcy/restructuring, litigation, and technology transactions.

Working Situation:

Role:

The Executive Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to multiple partners/associates. This fast‑paced role requires exceptional time‑management skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs in a demanding, client‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex calendars, including scheduling domestic and international meetings, conference calls, court appearances, closings, and travel arrangements across multiple time zones.
  • Coordinate extensive business travel (flights, hotels, ground transportation, visas) and prepare detailed itineraries.
  • Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, expense reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Act as the primary gatekeeper: screen calls and emails, prioritize urgent matters, and handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical filing systems (including client files, deal bibles, and matter records) in compliance with firm policies.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of executive assistant experience supporting C‑suite executives or senior partners at a large law firm or professional services firm (AmLaw 100 experience a plus).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with iManage (or other document management systems), Chrome River/InTapp (expense/time entry), and Interaction/CRM systems highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and impeccable written and verbal communication.
  • Base Salary: $100-120k+, commensurate with experience.
  • Additional Compensation: Annual performance‑based bonus.
