Job Responsibilities:- Provide hematology and medical oncology services, primarily at the MercyOne facility in Clinton, IA, with potential rotations at Genesis Health System in Davenport, IA.
- Allocate 30 minutes for new patient visits and 15 minutes for follow-up appointments.
- Handle an average of 30 patients daily, focusing on adult and geriatric populations.
- Collaborate with a team including four RNs, a MA, a CNA, and a receptionist.
- Utilize hospitalist support for infusion coverage as necessary.
- Engage with onsite Radiation Oncology services as part of collaborative care.
- Assist in preparing for COC (Commission on Cancer) Accreditation initiatives based on identified community health needs.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Hematology.
- Active Iowa medical license or willingness to obtain one.
- Clean malpractice history is preferred.
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
- Iowa medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- No ongoing malpractice cases.
