A Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is seeking a residency-trained Clinical Pharmacist to join a multidisciplinary team supporting a 32-bed critical care environment for pediatric patients. Preferred Qualifications Completion of a PGY2 Residency in Pediatrics. PGY1 Residency

and

a minimum of three (3) years of PICU clinical experience will also be considered. Schedule Day shift, Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Role requires flexibility to participate in medical rounds, interdisciplinary meetings, and patient-care activities. On-call requirement: one full week every eight weeks (after-hours and weekend coverage). No additional compensation is provided for on-call duties. Minimum Requirements Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency or fellowship preferred, or equivalent clinical experience. Licensure / Certifications Active pharmacist licensure in the State of Texas. Sterile Products (IV) certification from an accredited program, if applicable. Position Summary The Clinical Pharmacist develops, implements, and monitors clinical pharmacy programs designed to optimize patient outcomes and support cost-effective medication use. Responsibilities include: Providing direct clinical pharmacy services to pediatric patients and healthcare professionals. Collaborating with medical staff on medication therapy management, drug utilization, and cost-containment efforts. Supporting departmental operations and may assist with supervisory duties under the direction of pharmacy leadership. Experience, Knowledge & Skills Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and build effective working relationships. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Proficiency with pharmacy information systems, electronic health records, and automated medication technologies. Understanding of healthcare reimbursement and formulary management principles. Ability to participate in and lead collaborative workgroups and quality initiatives.
