Job Description Purpose Business Services Group is a part of Finance Shared Services (FSS) that provides business support services across AbbVie and Allergan Aesthetics to drive efficiencies, business outcomes and ensure compliance. Business Services Group plans and executes internal and external meetings, exhibits and conventions for employees, HCPs, and Patients ensuring business outcomes in addition to meeting all regulatory and financial compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Exhibits & Conventions, is responsible for managing a department of at least 4 employees and/or contractors. These teams are responsible for supporting medical and commercial exhibits/conventions. Support may include project management, system configuration and support, as well as the close-out process prior to reconciliation.

The Senior Manager, Exhibits & Conventions leads and develops their teams while simultaneously providing direct reports with the appropriate direction required to navigate the organization and successfully plan and project manage all assigned exhibits/conventions. The Senior Manager also provides coaching and direction and oversees the financial, compliance and reconciliation aspects of every exhibit their team plans.

Leads the creation of annual BSG strategic plans and forecasts for respective capability.

Manages regular project status calls and relationships with approved exhibit vendors.

Partners across M&E to ensure alignment and execution of processes to effectively lead a project from initial request through program closeout.

Manage cross-functional relationships within the Business Services Group and other functions including Account Services, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Finance, Purchasing, and Third-Party Vendors. Develops, maintains, and communicates knowledge within organization of Global and local requirements associated with exhibits executed across all countries.

Coordinates with cross functional partners to ensure business requirements are well defined and approved, project plans created, and deployment of projects are coordinated with the appropriate stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or ex-US equivalent) is required, typically in the field of business economics, science or hospitality.

Must have 6+ years of industry experience (and/or applicable work experience); including 3+ years work experience; working in exhibits or convention management and/or the management of global third-party vendors.

Demonstrated experience in leading multiple projects.

Self-directed and works well in a team environment, able to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet commitments.

Considered a Subject Matter Expert and competent in the application of standard business procedures (SOPs, Global Regulations, Ethics and Compliance).

Possess good communication skills and decision-making skills.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Companybelieves ingood faith it will pay for this role at the timeof this posting based on the job grade for this position.Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, andwemay ultimatelypay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in thefuture.
