14323 - Senior Java Developer (onsite) – Austin, TX

Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 9 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Hybrid. 3 days remote with 2 days onsite (Mondays and Thursdays) at the client location in Austin, TX
Required
Availability to work 2 days per week at the Client’s site in Austin, TX (required)
Experience in server-side and web services development, enhancing and maintaining enterprise-class applications on the J2EE platform (8 years)
Experience participating in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (8 years)
Development experience implementing applications utilizing J2EE application servers, authentication and authorization, and caching strategies (8 years)
Programming experience using Java, J2EE, REST/SOAP, HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, Angular, TypeScript, Spring, JSON, XML, JWT, NPM, Maven, OpenAPI v3, OAuth, Postman, ReadyAPI, MuleSoft, or similar technologies (8 years)
Experience implementing REST services supporting client-facing applications and implementing REST services security using JWT, OAuth, and other related security standards (8 years)
Experience in development of self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components with demonstrable experience developing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise-level web services including complete ownership of the services stack (8 years)
Preferred
Experience with JBoss or IBM WebSphere Application Server 8 or later (3 years)
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies, preferably Scrum (3 years)
Experience with CI/CD methodologies and containerized application deployments (3 years)
Experience with web applications developed for cloud platforms (3 years)
Experience in test-driven development and test creation using Karma, Jasmine, and Selenium (3 years)
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-class server-side and web services applications on J2EE platforms
Implement and maintain RESTful and SOAP web services supporting client-facing applications with comprehensive security using JWT, OAuth, and related standards
Develop self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components; maintain full ownership of services stack from design through deployment
Participate in all phases of the SDLC including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Develop and optimize enterprise-level web services; implement authentication, authorization, and caching strategies to ensure security and performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment (preferably Scrum); participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement practices
Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerized application deployments; write test-driven code using testing frameworks such as Karma, Jasmine, and Selenium
