Position: Memory Care Support Partner
Position Type: Full Time
Location: North Royalton, Ohio
Sign-On Bonus: $3,000
Starting Wage: $19 - $21.00 per hour
Shift Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 3p-11p
Community: Vitalia Active Adult Community, 8239 York Rd., North Royalton, Ohio 44133
Responsibilities
Advocate of Empathy: understand the importance of empathy and create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Patient Observer: discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are; collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Master of the Mise en Scène: set the stage for a successful day by preparing environments such as dining rooms, libraries, and resident rooms.
Life Partner: partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Excellent documenting of resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Qualifications
At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude toward residents.
Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
Active, capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping all day.
Ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and assisting after a fall.
Criminally cleared.
