Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience

5+ years of professional software engineering experience

5+ years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS along with modern web frameworks such as React and Bootstrap

5+ years of experience with Python or similar language

Strong communication skills, and experience working in a collaborative team environment

Experience with web mapping technologies such as MapLibre GL, Leaflet, etc.

Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB

Chloris is looking to add a Full Stack Software Engineer to support the deployment of our innovative technology for measuring carbon stock for the voluntary carbon markets. Specifically, we are looking for someone who:

Is a motivated software engineer with an eye for detail and looking to join a team of experienced and innovative individuals

This is a full-time, remote position for 6 months with the possibility to extend. Chloris is a hybrid-first company with a transatlantic team based throughout Western Europe and the United States, concentrated near our Boston headquarters.

The Full Stack Software Engineer will report to the Team Lead for the Chloris Web Platform and will work closely with the Product team to build, improve, and expand the customer-facing Chloris Platform API and web application.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain the front-facing web applications which deliver Chloris Geospatial’s unique insights to customers.

Design, develop and maintain backend components and RESTful APIs

Use agile methodologies to manage and prioritize tasks under the guidance of a senior engineer

Work with the Product team to understand customer personas and implement features that address user needs and improve their experience
