Job Summary and Responsibilities The section of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Virginia Mason Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA‑C) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), to join their coordinated team approach to rehabilitation. The section provides musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation services with a multidisciplinary team. We provide both conservative and interventional services and work closely with colleagues in multiple specialties to deliver care. This position is 100% outpatient and will focus on musculoskeletal and general rehab.
This provider would work both at our main practice at our downtown Seattle location as well as our Lynnwood clinic. Our approach to healthcare includes interdisciplinary care with in‑house PT, OT, speech therapy, nursing and rehabilitation and pain psychology. Our section has been instrumental in the award‑winning team‑based "Seattle Spine Clinic" approach to managing patients with spine conditions ( http://www.spine-deformity.org/article/S2212-134X(13)00198-6/abstract ).
We are seeking a strong enthusiastic APP who can embrace change, possesses strong leadership traits and who can become an integral partner of our team. Teaching and research opportunities are available. A good sense of humor is a plus.
Job Requirements Nurse Practitioner
Washington State Registered Nurse License and an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License are required for this job.
Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers may be required depending on the position, as well as prescriptive authority.
Advanced background in nursing; an understanding of anatomy, physiology, histology, and pharmacology; and strong interpersonal and counseling skills.
Certification by specialty area as well as work experience in specialty area may be required, depending on the position.

This position requires Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington.
