Large Power Systems Division (LPSD)
We design and manufacture the most comprehensive lineup of large diesel and natural gas engines in the industry, as well as engine components and powertrains. What You Will Do (including but not limited to)
As an Assembly and Test Specialist, you will continuously improve process efficiency by performing routine assembly and test of assemblies of our prime product. Training is paid and held during 1st shift for 4-6 weeks at the facility. Upon completion of the program, individuals will be responsible: Assembling, testing, reworking and repairing machine components Operating test machines to test final drive assemblies Preparing prime products and attachments for shipping Performing required salvage operations in assembly areas as necessary Disassembling and reassembling complex assemblies to repair or replace damaged component parts Operating remote control crane to specially equipped vehicles to transport prime product Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or previous work/volunteer experience Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork A mechanical background or industrial assembly experience Caterpillar will train applicants who have a strong employment history and work ethic Top Candidates will also have
Strong commitment to safety at all times Ability to perform simple computer operations Excellent attitude and willingness to learn Additional Information
Positions are available on 1st shift in East Peoria Bldg. KK Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM This is a supplemental position – minimum 40 hours per week with limited benefits available Pay is $23.22 hr Relocation is not offered for this position This position requires no travel Benefits
