West Monroe is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the Technology and Experience practice in one of our U.S. offices. This role will involve collaborating with client stakeholders across a variety of industries to understand and define functional requirements, write user stories, participate in backlog grooming, plan sprints and releases, and validate whether developed features and capabilities satisfy acceptance criteria and metric goals. You’ll be involved throughout the software development lifecycle: from initial scoping, through detailed requirements gathering, and finally to the validation of functionality and deliverables, working in collaboration with development teams to deliver solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity that will present the challenge of understanding client business problems and enabling our technical consultants to consistently develop and deliver solutions, including leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation and optimize business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Work with key stakeholders and client personnel to understand and translate broad business goals and user pain points into detailed requirements, including identifying opportunities to leverage AI tools and techniques.
Develop user stories and map process flows to support the design and development of software solutions for diverse, enterprise companies, incorporating AI‑driven features and capabilities where applicable.
Collaborate with client business/technology departments and West Monroe software engineering consultants to develop solutions that meet business requirements, including those that utilize machine learning models, natural language processing (NLP), and predictive analytics.
Work with key stakeholders to prioritize features based on business value, development effort, and potential impact of AI‑powered functionalities.
Plan deployment and rollout of functionality to users in collaboration with client stakeholders and West Monroe software engineering consultants, ensuring proper integration of AI solutions and tools.
Identify and address process pain points during the SDLC, including opportunities to automate workflows or enhance decision‑making using AI technologies.
Add to, groom, and assist in continuously refining product backlogs within an Agile/Scrum team environment, ensuring AI‑related features are properly scoped and prioritized.
Track development team milestones using project/product lifecycle management software, including monitoring the performance of AI models and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience required.
Consulting firm or industry experience preferred.
5‑7+ years of experience working in a technical business analyst or product management capacity, supporting SDLC teams and feature releases.
Well‑versed in authoring business/technical requirements and high‑quality user stories with the ability to analyze, understand, and prioritize business problems, including those related to AI and data‑driven solutions.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum sprint‑based environment with a deep understanding of methodology concepts, techniques, and ceremonies.
Proficient in the use of PM tools like Jira for managing and tracking Scrum projects, including managing AI‑related tasks and tracking the performance of AI‑powered solutions.
Familiarity with AI technologies, frameworks, and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure AI, AWS AI, or Google Cloud AI is a plus.
Ability to work with data scientists and engineers to define requirements for AI models and ensure proper integration into software products.
Understanding of key AI concepts such as supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
Ability to multi‑task and demonstrate a strong desire to take on new tasks and learn new things, including staying up-to-date with advancements in AI technologies.
Strong written and oral communication, analytical skills, and problem‑solving capability, including the ability to explain AI concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits $116,000 - $136,500 USD – Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, New York, Washington, D.C.
$121,600 - $143,000 USD – Seattle or Washington, D.C.
$127,100 - $149,500 USD – New York City or San Francisco.
$110,500 - $130,000 USD – A location not listed above.
