R2593**About the Role:**Overseas daily operations of all Greater Boston Urology (GBU) locations. Our Director of Operations will be "hands on" and responsible for clinical and non-clinical operations as well as enhancing the patient experience.**What You’ll Be Doing*** Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and provide hands-on operational leadership and strategic direction to all Practice Managers and practice-based staff, with a strong focus on accountability, performance, and operational excellence.* Directly oversee Practice Managers, ensuring clarity of role expectations, effective delegation, and consistent execution of responsibilities to support teams working at the top of their license.* Drive practice performance by actively managing productivity, quality, and patient experience metrics, including office workflows, patient navigation, appointment access and wait times, no-show rates, EHR utilization, and adherence to established productivity standards.* Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of operational policies and procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability across practices.* Partner with the COO, management team, physicians, and clinical staff to assess, recommend, and implement improvements in communication, coordination, and operational processes.* Establish, monitor, and enforce quality, service, and productivity standards, using data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.* Collaborate closely with the COO on financial and budgetary oversight, including reviewing practice-level financial performance, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions to mitigate negative trends.* Analyze productivity and operational data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, then lead the design and implementation of solutions that improve patient service, billing performance, and cost compliance.* Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and accreditation requirements, fostering a culture of accountability and regulatory awareness.* Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with physicians, staff, patients, and internal and external partners, serving as a trusted operational leader and resource.* Work collaboratively with physicians to address immediate clinical, procedural, and operational needs while balancing short-term demands with long-term strategic priorities.* Identify, evaluate, and lead the implementation of new technologies, systems, and clinical procedures, supporting successful rollouts and change management while expanding practice operations to meet evolving market and patient needs.**What We Expect from You**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience in Urology is a plus.* Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study such as Healthcare Administration or Business Administration is required. Master's Degree preferred.
**Language Skills**Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before individuals or groups of people.**Reasoning Ability**Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.**Computer Skills**To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer software.**Other Skills and Abilities*** Knowledge of medical credentialing and the provider enrollment process* Requires project management skills* Requires great attention to detail and organization* Ability to develop and maintain effective relationship with physicians, staff, leadership and external entities.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, CAQH, various verification sites* Reliability, ability to multi-task and provide high-level problem solving skills* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality* Plan, coordinate, implement services to support the medical providers* Ability to work independently* Ability to work under pressure**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, approximately 8 hours per workday.
