Position Overview
We are seeking a
high-level Technical Architect
with deep expertise across the Microsoft Power Platform and the broader Microsoft cloud ecosystem. This leader will drive enterprise architecture strategy, platform governance, secure solution delivery, and modernization initiatives across federal programs. The Architect will define the vision, guardrails, and scalable frameworks that guide development teams and ensure secure, compliant, high-performance solutions. Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
Own the technical vision, roadmap, and architecture standards for the Power Platform ecosystem.
Define architecture patterns, integration frameworks, and reusable components across business units.
Align Power Platform strategy with enterprise cloud strategy (Azure, M365, security, identity, data).
Platform Governance & Security Architecture
Establish and enforce governance models, guardrails, and DevSecOps-driven development policies.
Architect secure environment strategies including DLP, connectors, identity/access, and role-based security.
Lead risk assessments, compliance reviews, and security architecture validation.
Capacity Planning & Platform Engineering
Oversee platform capacity planning including Dataverse storage, environment scaling, and API consumption.
Build monitoring frameworks and dashboards to manage platform health, growth, and performance.
Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams on licensing, provisioning, performance tuning, and resilience.
DevSecOps & ALM Strategy
Architect end-to-end ALM strategy including versioning, automated deployments, CI/CD, and branching models.
Implement automated testing, code quality checks, and secure deployment frameworks.
Define enterprise-wide standards for solution packaging, release workflows, and lifecycle management.
Access, Permissions & Identity Architecture
Architect role-based access models aligned with security and compliance mandates.
Manage user access frameworks across environments using Azure AD, security groups, and conditional access.
Ensure auditability, least-privilege configurations, and access governance at scale.
Collaboration, Leadership & Influence
Serve as the technical authority and SME to developers, program leadership, and senior government stakeholders.
Provide architectural oversight for complex, mission-critical solution delivery.
Lead architecture reviews, technical workshops, and decision-making forums.
Mentor engineering teams and promote architecture excellence across the organization.
Required Qualifications
Active
Secret Clearance
10+ years in enterprise architecture, cloud architecture, or platform engineering.
Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
Strong experience architecting secure enterprise solutions within federal or DoD environments.
Advanced capability in ALM, DevSecOps, CI/CD, versioning, and Azure DevOps/GitHub.
Strong background in identity/security architecture: Azure AD, RBAC, governance, DLP, compliance.
Proven ability to influence at the executive and technical leadership levels.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified:
Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
Experience designing enterprise applications and integration patterns with Azure, M365, and data platforms.
Prior experience driving platform governance, modernization, or digital transformation initiatives.
Experience leading architecture in fast-paced, high-visibility federal environments.
