Position Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling, preparation, and shipment of materials and products. This role involves repetitive tasks, quality checks, order pulling, packaging, and handling light fixtures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping Duties
- Prepare outgoing shipments following company standards and carrier requirements.
- Operate UPS shipping systems to create labels and process parcels.
- Package materials securely, including taping material, boxing, and protective wrapping.
- Ensure proper print, tape, and assembly of shipping materials.
- Perform final QC (Quality Control) checks on all outgoing shipments.
Receiving Duties
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials and products.
- Inspect shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage.
Warehouse & Material Handling
- Pull orders accurately from inventory based on pick lists.
- Pull materials from storage locations and prepare them for production or shipping.
- Handle and move light fixtures with care.
- Maintain organized inventory and report discrepancies.
- Perform repetitive warehouse tasks with consistency and attention to detail.
