This position is slated to support a project in Warsaw, Poland for 18+ months. Additional position details will be discussed during the screening process.
Job Summary The Mobility Engineer is responsible for supporting battle damage assessments of tracked combat vehicles, developing repair actions including potential performance impacts, and supporting post-repair inspection and verification.
Essential Functions
Participate in vehicle battle damage assessments and support vehicle repair development plans
Assess and/or coordinate assessments of proposed repairs for performance adequacy.
Coordinate proposed repairs with supply chain and manufacturing personnel for implementation.
Participate in post repair inspections as required.
Prepare documentation supporting initial assessments, proposed repair actions and post repair inspections.
Minimum Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working understanding of vehicle propulsion and suspension systems design including track and trailing arm suspensions, diesel engines, cross drive transmission, cooling and fuel subsystems.
Understanding of vehicle performance analysis.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work within CAD based design systems.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience 5+ years of relevant experience working with vehicle propulsion system design or closely related.
Background Prerequisites Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
Preferred Qualifications
Infantry combat vehicle design, maintenance or repair experience.
Working Conditions And Physical Demands
Hands-on, shop-floor role requiring standing, lifting, and working in various industrial environments.
May involve shift work, overtime, or weekend coverage depending on production demands.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in all designated areas.
For physical requirements, indicate Rarely, Occasionally, Frequently, or Continuously where possible.
