Lead Java Full Stack Dev (Python - Angular or React & GCP) Hybrid
Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead Java Full Stack Dev (Python – Angular or React & GCP) Hybrid with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. Our developers have a passion for high‑quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users.

Dearborn, MI

Responsibilities
Work closely with the Product Manager and Product Owner to translate business value into user stories and deliver solutions.
Design and implement RESTful APIs for communication between application components.
Use both SQL and NoSQL databases, design schemas, and write efficient queries.
Analyze complex problems, identify bottlenecks, and develop effective solutions.
Act as a consultant to the business, not an order taker, and collaborate with architects and engineers to design solutions.
Define best practices and standards in coordination with Technical Anchors and COE Operations for Python, Java, Angular/React, Git, GCP, etc.
Abide by all Information Security Policies while balancing speed to delivery and risk mitigation.
Lead by example in paired programming to encourage cross‑training and upskilling.
Qualifications
Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
Over eight years of progressive development responsibilities, including at least two years as a lead.
Five years of experience with machine‑learning technologies.
Strong experience in Python, Angular/React, GCP, and AI/ML.
Demonstrated leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to teach others.
Ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, and business partners and navigate complex decision‑making.
Knowledge of coding best practices and experience applying agile practices to solution delivery.
Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between
$81,337
and
$141,500 , depending on experience and other qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to applicable plans.
