CT Technologist
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a qualified CT Technologist to join its Department of Diagnostic Imaging. The role provides technical diagnostic support and operates multi-detector CT scanners to capture and process images for medical diagnosis.

Base Pay Range $44.91/hr - $61.65/hr
Job Responsibilities
Operate multi-slice CT scanners and perform exams with accuracy and efficiency, adjusting scanning factors and patient positioning to optimize image quality.
Evaluate anatomy and related pathologies for presentation to the Radiologist.
Apply CT physics and radiation safety principles, adhering to ALARA and performing all ranges of exams after competency.
Prescreen patients for contrast contraindications, implement contrast and injection factors, and generate CDs/DVDs of imaging exams as needed.
Document complete imaging orders, protocols, patient identification, and correct data entry, ensuring images are in PACS and billed correctly.
Demonstrate specific normal and abnormal cross‑sectional anatomy/pathology through scan techniques, reconstructions, and 3D post‑processing.
Exercise responsible judgment in recognizing and reporting significant situations relating to patient care.
Required Qualifications
Completion of a JRCERT accredited school of radiologic sciences.
Licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging, with an approved CPR card, and an ARRT (CT) registry.
Must be ARRT (CT) certified within 6 months of hire; alternative certifications possible (ARRT (R), ARRT (N), NMTCB, ARRT (RT)).
Job Related Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in IV/Angio-cath starts and administration of contrast media via power injection.
Competency in complex CT imaging and ability to adjust parameters case‑by‑case.
Strong judgment, decision‑making, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive Emergency, Trauma, and Stroke imaging experience.
