Responsibilities As a Software Developer at Sabre Systems, you will:
Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle: requirements, design, development, integration, and testing.
Collaborate with senior developers and architects to design and architect scalable, high‑performance software systems.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Java code following best practices and design patterns.
Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Write tests to ensure code quality.
Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers.
Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of the Agile development process.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Maintain technical documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture.
Stay up‑to‑date with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and processes, and optimize application performance and scalability.
Be a self‑motivated individual willing to learn and work in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Information Management, IT, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics with 3‑5 years of experience in Java software development.
Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA). Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
Familiarity with front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Knowledge of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL) and SQL.
Experience with Git version control and build tools (Maven) and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of software design patterns and principles (SOLID, MVC).
Ability to work independently, problem‑solve, and have a strong desire to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Compensation The general salary range for this position is $95,000.00 – $115,000.00. Final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms.
