CFD Research is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a well‑established team that supports the development and sustainment of a simulation framework software. The candidate will support the lifecycle of software development efforts, which include development, integration, and deployment for test and analysis efforts with real‑time hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HWIL) systems and all‑digital representations of complex missile defense elements such as AN/TPY‑2, SBX, LRDR, CDU, UEWR, GMD, and C2BMC. The candidate will enhance their understanding of the missile defense system and how each element is integrated into the framework for test campaigns.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or Math from an accredited institution
Mid and senior level experience candidates (5-15 years) will be considered
Strong containerization skills and experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java, and Python, including object‑oriented.
Experience with scrum/agile software development
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an Active Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with MDA HWIL test and analysis and simulation frameworks
Experience and working knowledge of missile defense architecture, including radars, fire control systems, launchers, and messaging protocols.

This role is based in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite.
